Piedra Park Metropolitan Improvement District (PPMID) is a Colorado Title 32 Special District that provides domestic water service to residents within its service area in Arboles, Archuleta County.
Although the district’s historic name includes “Metropolitan Improvement,” its sole authorized service is the delivery, operation, and maintenance of the community water system.
Our mission is simple: to provide safe, reliable, and responsibly managed water service to the customers we serve.
What We Do
PPMID is responsible for:
- Supplying domestic water to district customers
- Operating and maintaining the water treatment and distribution system
- Managing water meters, billing, and service accounts
- Ensuring compliance with Colorado drinking water regulations
- Maintaining transparent governance and public access to district information
The District does not provide road maintenance, snow removal, parks, recreation, or any other municipal services.
